Madrid - All About the Nightlife
Madrid is known for being one of the best party cities in the entire world. On any given weekend and on the days leading up to Christmas it is common for you to see the city still thriving at five or six in the morning. As long as you are in to have a great time you and your family will find something that suits your taste, nationality, gender, or even age.
You can even enjoy Madrid’s nightlife if you have children. Your children are widely admitted in all different types of bars, restaurants, and even pubs but who really enjoys taking their children to bars with alcohol. If you do decide to bring your children make sure you make have first consulted with the staff or bar owner prior to the event.

On almost every street in Madrid you will find some sort of a cafeteria or bar. These cafeterias are commonly similar to a bar but also have the option of ordering sandwiches, tapas, and other snacks. They are usually well lit, even well into the night making them inviting for late night dinners. They are busiest until mid morning serving coffee, orange juice, croissants, toast, and churros. Times vary but are open until midnight on most occasions.
Bars in Madrid are similar to cafeterias besides the fact that they don’t serve most food. Some places serve wine, beers, and mixed drinks along with some free specialty tapas where possible. Residential and local neighborhood bars are usually closed by midnight.
You can visit one of Madrid’s disco pubs that come complete with a small dance floor and serve beers, and copas. These pubs will stay open until six or seven in the morning but local laws prohibit many from staying open past 3:30am.
